Tina Turner Musical Coming to Broadway
“Tina: The Tina Turner Musical,” will be opening on Broadway during the fall in 2019. It will be a jukebox musical based on the incredible like of, you guessed it, Tina Turner!
"Jukebox musicals" have become quite popular and, like a jukebox, feature the songs from a single artist. Some current jukebox musicals include: “Head Over Heels” (The Go-Go’s), “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical” (Carole King), “Summer: The Donna Summer Musical” (Donna Summer). Additional jukebox musicals opening later this season include "Ain't Too Proud" (The Temptations) and “The Cher Show” (Cher).
"Tina" has already been running in London for over 6 months. But, a New York production theatre nor cast have not been announced yet.
